The Calves like fodder!!!

         Here is a picture of our calves having their first taste of    fodder!!

              

Our Calves are on 100 acres of grass,but every day we bring them into our corral to feed them so they have the ability to graze all day .

          NEW CALF AT CLEVENGER'S FARM!!!!!       

                    

                     This is me , and my sister Glori  feeding my calf Swirl.

   Swirl is the newest addition to our farm.One our our cows had twins and and the cow and the other calf walked off and left Swirl behind so now I get to take care of it!! I bottle feed Swirl 2 times a day and he drinks half a gallon a feeding, so he drinks 1 gallon of milk a day.

  This picture was taken when he was 2 days old and did not eat to well.Now he is 5 days old and when i go out to feed him,he practicly attacks me!!

Fodder System

Next week we are planning on heading to Texas to look at a "Fodder System"..    

A " Fodder System" is a couple shelfs that ave sprinklers on  so you put barly onto and it sprouts it. It takes 6 days to sprout the barly . With the sprouted barly we can feed our animals . When we get The Fodder stystem we will not have to feed grain or hay, so with the Beef we can get U.S.D.A. to be ALL NATURAL!!!!!!
